Hi, I’m Ryan Kunz. Thanks for visiting Spa Filter Adapter.

I currently own an Arctic Spa Summit XL, and I love it. The issue for me was always the filtration system. With a family of six using the spa, the stock filters just were not cleaning the water efficiently enough for us, and I was replacing them about every two months.

Paying for proprietary replacement filters every couple of months got old fast. I wanted a more practical filter option for my own Summit XL, so I sat down, measured the existing setup, and started designing one.

What began as a solution for my own hot tub became Spa Filter Adapter Kit v3 after I realized other Arctic Spa owners were dealing with the same problem.

Designed from firsthand experience

I have owned and cared for pools and hot tubs for about 20 years. That includes water chemistry, filtration, cleaning, routine maintenance, and the normal troubleshooting that comes with keeping a spa ready to use.

Spa Filter Adapter was not designed as a generic accessory based only on measurements from a screen. It came from owning and maintaining my Summit XL and wanting a better filter option for a spa my family actually uses.

How Kit v3 was developed

I use AutoCAD and Fusion 360 to design functional parts around real dimensions, tolerances, fitment, and operating constraints. There have been three major versions of the adapter, but reaching Kit v3 took hundreds of smaller revisions and refinements.

Each change had a purpose, whether it was improving fit, strength, assembly, or everyday use. My goal has always been simple: make a well-designed product that solves the problem without making the filter system more complicated.

Made and assembled by the designer

I personally manufacture, 3D print, and assemble the Spa Filter Adapter kits. Keeping the design and manufacturing work together gives me direct control over how the product is made and lets me improve it based on firsthand experience.

A little more about me

My primary business is professional digital marketing, but I have always enjoyed designing functional products and solving practical problems. Spa Filter Adapter brings those skills together with years of pool and hot tub ownership.

I also review the technical guides published on this site for practical accuracy. When a guide relies on an Arctic Spas manual or another technical source, I want that information linked clearly so owners can check it for themselves.

I appreciate you taking the time to learn about the product. If you are trying to determine whether Kit v3 fits your spa, start with the compatibility guide. If you still have questions, contact me and I’ll help however I can.
